ANNE VLIEGT heeft met meer dan honderd internationale filmfestival selecties en vertoningen alle records gebroken. Nog nooit is een Nederlandse jeugddocumentaire zo succesvol geweest.
ANNE VLIEGT heeft een Special Mention gekregen op het KUKI Int'l Short Film Festival in BerlijnANNE VLIEGT heeft de eerste juryprijs en de publieksprijs gewonnen op het Curt.doc festival in Catalonia. Deze prijs is inmiddels al de 17e in het lijstje met internationale prijzen voor de korte film van Catherine van Campen.ANNE VLIEGT heeft de prijs voor beste scenario gewonnen op het Bosifest 2012 filmfestival in Belgrado, Servië. Dit is inmiddels al de 16e internationale prijs die de film sinds de wereldpremière op IDFA in de wacht sleept.
ANNE VLIEGT heeft de Special Jury Mention for Excellence in Cinematography op Sebastopol International Documentary Film Festival in ontvangst mogen nemen. De jury omschreef de film als "a very accomplished and lyrical film with some phenomenal photography and an intimate, compelling character study."
ANNE VLIEGT heeft de UPEC prijs (University Paris Est Creteil) van het Festival International de Films de Femmes de Créteil gewonnen.
ANNE VLIEGT heeft de prijs voor Beste Korte Documentaire gewonnen op Festival REGARD sur le court métrage au Saguenay in Canada. Ook ontving de film afgelopen weekend de 2e prijs op het ImagéSanté Festival in Luik.
ANNE VLIEGT is opgenomen in het 2012 Hot Doc's Docs For School programma, in 2011 namen meer dan 320 scholen en 60,000 scholieren deel aan het festival.
De film wordt ook opgenomen in de Prix Jeunesse Int'l catalogus en gepresenteerd in de Media Bar gedurende het festival in München.
ANNE VLIEGT was genomineerd voor de Beeld en Geluid Awards 2011, de enige televisievakprijzen in Nederland. De winnaars werden op maandagavond 23 januari 2012 tijdens de uitreiking bij Beeld en Geluid in Hilversum bekend gemaakt. Helaas viel de film, ondanks het grote buitenlandse succes, buiten de prijzen.
ANNE VLIEGT heeft prijzen gewonnen voor beste kort film op RIDM in Canada en ook Festival dei Popoli in Florence, Italië. ANNE VLIEGT heeft een 'honourable mention' ontvangen op het Picture this... Int'l Film Festival in Calgary, Albert, Canada.ANNE VLIEGT heeft de Golden Olive gewonnen in de categorie Children's TV Programme op het TV Festival in Bar, Montenegro. Op het Chicago Int'l Children's Film Festival won de film The Children’s Jury Second Prize for Documentary Film.ANNE VLIEGT was genomineerd voor de prestigieuze Cinekid Kinderkast prijs 2011 in de categorie non-fictie. De prijzen worden elk jaar uitgereikt aan de beste jeugdtelevisieprogramma's. Helaas viel de film dit jaar buiten de prijzen.Woensdag 28 september 2011 was ANNE VLIEGT op L1 TV te zien.
ANNE VLIEGT heeft de Best Short award gewonnen op DocuWest in Golden, CO, VS. Eerder al won de film de 'Best of Festival' award op het FOCUS Film Festival in Redding, VS.
Tijdens Hot Docs, het grootste en belangrijkste documentaire filmfestival in Noord-Amerika, heeft ANNE VLIEGT de prijs voor beste korte documentaire gewonnen. Kort daarvoor won de film ook al de publieksprijs op het Independent Film Festival van Boston.
De jury van Hot Docs schrijft: 'De jury is geïmponeerd door de virtuoze wijze waarop de kijker de ontroerende wereld van de jonge hoofdpersoon wordt ingetrokken. Het gedurfde camerawerk versterkt diepgevoelde emoties en conflicten. Door de combinatie van dramatische werkelijkheid en lyrische verbeelding wordt de film een welhaast bovenzinnelijke kijkervaring.'
ANNE VLIEGT heeft tijdens het prestigieuze internationale documentairefestival Visions du Réel in het Zwitserse Nyon de prijs gewonnen voor beste korte documentaire.
Tijdens het Superfest International Disability Film Festival in Berkeley (USA) heeft ANNE VLIEGT de prijs voor beste film van het festival gewonnen.
Op 21 november 2010 is ANNE VLIEGT in première gegaan tijdens het Internationaal Documentaire Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA). Kijk voor meer informatie op www.idfa.nl.
ANNE VLIEGT was op 1 februari 2011 te zien bij Dokument Junior op Nederland 3. Op 21 juni 2011 om 11.00u zal Dokument Junior de film nogmaals herhalen op Z@PP.
De film beleefde haar Internationale Première op Visions du Réel 2011 in Nyon, Zwitserland.
